About the Course

This course is designed to understand the basic experimental details related to crucial physics phenomena such as sound and wave, the photoelectric effect, and thermodynamics. Student can learn to calculate the frequency of a tuning fork using Melde's experimental setup, frequency of AC supply using a Sonometer's experimental setup, the work function and Plank's constant using the Photoelectric effect and they can also study of the rate of heat loss due to surrounding temperature.

In first week, student will learn about fundamentals of wave, types of waves and characteristics of wave. After undertstanding the basic about wave, students will learn to calculate the frequency of AC mains using Sonometer's experimental setup and frequency of tuning fork using melde's experimental setup.

In second week, students will understand the basics of photoelectric effect. They will also study the equation of photoelectric effect and will learn to calculate the work function and Plank's constant using photoelectric effect.

In third week, students will understand the basics Newton's law of cooling and how to study the rate of heat loss dure to environment.

Requirements

You must have fundamental knowledge of Physics upto senior secondary level.
